” I love taking part in Mitzvah days, festivals such as Rosh Hashanah and helping out at the quiz nights. The guest speaker events are so interesting too such as when Rami Sherman came to speak. I also enjoy being part of the Sunday school team as a teacher – I enjoyed learning about my religion and heritage as a student and now I can impart my wisdom from a different perspective.

One of the best parts of being part of the Synagogue is the community feel. I think it’s a lot to do with Rabbi Jonathan’s and the community’s values where they instil respect, openness and acceptance. I was the only Jewish student in my school so coming to Synagogue has always made me feel comfortable and given me an opportunity to make Jewish friends.”
