Local Networks

To add to an already bursting social calendar, the Synagogue has local network groups that offer get-togethers in your immediate area with other members.

There is a huge range of social activities where members have a  chance to make connections with like-minded people in smaller groups.

Coffee mornings and brunches, country walks and pub lunches, picnics and discussions in parks and in members’ gardens, a riverboat trip, a museum visit and theatre outings – these are just some of the activities that have taken place recently.

Most networks are using a combination of face-to-face activities and Zoom meetings (the latter including talks, quizzes and presentations by network and outside speakers), but each network operates independently and sets its own programme and frequency of meetings (usually once a month).

There are 10 networks as follows:

  • Amersham, Beaconsfield & Gerrard’s Cross
  • Ascot & Camberley
  • Aylesbury & High Wycombe
  • Basingstoke, Bracknell & Wokingham
  • Bourne End & Marlow
  • Burnham, Slough & Windsor
  • Henley
  • Maidenhead
  • Oxford
  • Reading

All members of the Synagogue (except “country members”) are allocated a network, and are then kept up-to-date by the area network co-ordinator via email.

Helen Godson heads up the Local Networks teams. If you are not receiving regular emails about these meet-ups please do contact Helen here.
